Built by Scott C. in San Diego and launched in 1990. He and his soon to be wife lived aboard for 3 months. (A real testament to their love if you have seen how small a SC28 is.) I had wanted to build a SC28 since 1982 but did not have space or the means. In 1997 I was walking around Marina Del Ray and saw Three Hands Clapping for sale and could not resist. Took her home for 2 years till I had a partner to share expenses. Launched in 1999 and loved it. The perfect boat for a single guy. I was not single though. Kept her in the water for 3 years and had to back out of the partnership. Three Hands Clapping is now in storage in Sliver Springs Nevada waiting for a new owner to enjoy. A boat that meets all design requirements to a T. Strong, safe, cheap,fast, simple to build, but a very small boat. Not a family boat. Now thinking of a Constant Camber 26. On a trailer I could justify the expense but not in a slip again.
