Paulla my wife and I are the second owners of the Perpetua. The original owner/builders took her on a voyage to MX, HI, and return to California. We've now done that trip twice also.
The panels were constructed of Obeechee wood and are very light compared to other veneers. The boat is very rigid and the occasional slap of the sea can wake the dead from a sound sleep. However, travel time between ports makes up for any unpleasantness as well as the fishing.
